Adams Employees contribute over $25,000 to the United Way Campaign

Employees of Adams Telephone Co-Operative recently presented a check in the amount of $25,555.56 to the United Way of Adams County, Inc. at their Quincy, Illinois office.

The donation is comprised of over $13,500 in employee donations, a $2,000 Adams corporate donation, and a $10,000 matching grant from CoBank, a national cooperative bank serving vital industries across rural America. Adams was a recipient of matching funds through CoBank’s “Sharing Success” fund which supports charitable organizations and causes in the local communities of their customer-owners.

The United Way of Adams County advocates for education, financial stability and health because these are the building blocks of a good life. Jim Broemmer, Chief Executive Officer, stated “In the past, Adams was the Small Business Hero Award recipient, so it continues to be of utmost importance to our team of dedicated individuals to exceed our campaign support annually, especially this year. We have seen the impact our contributions can make firsthand and are blown away by the generosity of our employees who rose to the challenge to provide for our community’s most vulnerable.”
