Adams Telephone Co-Operative sponsored a college scholarship program to award a $500 scholarship to a local high school senior.

The winner of this year’s scholarship is Marcus Jansen.  Marcus graduated from Unity High School, and participated in numerous extracurricular and volunteer activities.  His future plans include attending Iowa State University, majoring in Horticulture.  Marcus is the son of Michael and Donna Jansen.

“Adams Telephone Co-Operative historically has been very involved with our youth and schools from ensuring access to the technology needed today to providing opportunities such our Scholarship and Youth to Washington programs,” comments James W. Broemmer, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Adams.  “Our commitment to our communities begins with our young people.”

Information about the Adams Telephone Co-Operative’s annual scholarship for 2015 will be released late in the fall.  Through Adams’ partnership with the Foundation for Rural Service, applicants have the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship of $500 or $2,500.
