Use of 'adams.net'
addresses on other providers
Users
who
travel are probably using the SMTP Authentication method for sending
'adams.net' mail from non-Adams Internet connections.
However
some people who are using their 'adams.net' account with another
provider
(AT&T, Comcast, Frontier,
Mediacom, Verizon, etc.) may experience problems sending mail
out
through their providers' mail servers. Many other ISPs are
starting to
block outbound mail through their servers that contain sender addresses
of
other domains (such as 'adams.net'). In this way they are helping
to
minimize the problem of 'spoofed' addresses used for spam.
If
you are using an 'adams.net' account on another provider, you should
begin
using SMTP Authentication as soon as possible for sending out your
'adams.net'
messages.
If
you try to send email with your Adams account through another
providers' mail system to
another 'adams.net' address your message may be rejected
with this error.
